Five civilians and two police personnel were injured in a road accident between Leporiang and Pakke Kesang on Hoj-Nichipu Trans-Arunachal Highway around 4.30 pm on Wednesday, according to police sources.

A private Maruti Alto while on way to Seppa from Itanagar after crossing Leporiang collided with the emergency response support system (ERSS) vehicle of Pakke Kesang police on patrolling duty leaving all its five occupants injured.

Police, on receipt of information, rescued all injured and rushed them to Pakke Kesang health centre where they were given first aid. Later, five occupants of the car were sent to Itanagar in two ambulances for further treatment, who are reportedly out of danger, the sources added.
