Tirap Superintendent of Police Kardak Riba and District Medical Officer Dr N Lowang on Wednesday inspected Deomali, Dirok and Hukanjuri check gates, the main entry points to the district and took stock of activities being carried out by the frontline workers there.

While interacting with those in charge of the check gates, the SP suggested them to perform their duty properly as per guidelines issued by the government and not allow unauthorised movement after the scheduled time.

The SP checked the register maintained for entry of persons to the district and suggested all the in-charges to perform gate duty properly from 7 am to 6 pm as per guidelines and SoPs issued by the government. He also asked them not to allow unauthorised movements after the scheduled time.

DMO Dr Lowang while interacting with the health workers in the check gates also checked the number of people tested through RAT on a daily basis.

Later the SP and the DMO distributed masks, cold drinks and water bottles at the check gates and travellers coming from outside the district.
