Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma turned 54 on Wednesday with a host of dignitaries, including President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wishing him on the occasion.
A large number of fans, well-wishers and followers gathered at his residence at 12 am to wish him.
Himanta Biswa Sarma celebrated his birthday by cutting a cake with his fans, and well-wishers. The fans seemed very enthusiastic and clicked selfies with the chief minister.
Assam Governor Jagadish Mukhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, other central ministers and chief ministers of several states also greeted Sarma on the occasion.
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma was born on February 1, 1969 at Mission Hospital in Jorhat.
