JEE(Mains) to be held Four times in a year in 13 languages, Says Pokhriyal

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on Wednesday said that after examining the suggestions regarding the JEE(Mains) exam given by the students and academicians, the government has decided to hold exams four times in a year in 13 languages.  Union education Minister Pokhriyal Nishank announced that the exams will be held in February, March, April and May, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

According to Pokhariyal, the first lot of exams will be held between February 23-26 in 2021, and examination dates for the next, will be announced later by the NTA.

Pokhriyal said that the arrangement will give an opportunity to students for improving their scores, adding the multiple exams will also give the students a scope for improvement for the next time and save crucial time with respect to waiting for the next attempt.

The minister said the system will give opportunity to the candidates who due to some reason could not appear in the first or second slot. The exam will be held in 13 different languages for the first time in the country including Hindi, English, Bengali, Assamese, Marathi, Gujarati, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Urdu, Malayalam and Punjabi he added
