The Kamakhya Devalaya Management Committee (KDMC) has opened its doors for devotees to perform ‘Parikrama’ today.
However, the inner sanctum will remain close as per discussion with the Kamrup (Metro) district administration.
The Devalaya Complex gate opened at 8 am and will continue till sunset on normal days. However, the timing may change during Navaratri and Durga Puja. Certain guidelines have been formulated which will have to be strictly followed by everyone.
The Devotees will have to undergo Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) for COVID at the Medical Camp organised by the Health Department near the entry point at Nursery (Kamakhya Foothill). Those who have tested for COVID three days back can visit after showing their reports. After showing their reports to the Security personnel they may proceed further after going through thermal screening & sanitisation chamber at the main gait.
The maximum time allotted to each devotee will be fifteen minutes. Entry would be prohibited without a mask and once inside, the devotees are asked to maintain social distancing.
