One of the youngest climate activists from Manipur Licypriya Kangujam who led the battle from the front against climate change was called a ‘Foreigner’ in a tweet by the digital coordinator of Samajwadi Party Manish Jagan Agrawal.
In a befitting reply 10-year-old Kangujam from Northeast India slammed Agrawal for calling her a foreigner on Twitter after sharing her photo with a placard near the Taj Mahal.
Agrawal wrote, “Foreign tourists are also forced to show a mirror to the BJP ruled Yogi government. Yamuna ji is full of filth under the BJP government, this filth is a bad stain on the beauty of the Taj Mahal,
It is very shameful for foreign tourists to show a mirror to the government, this image of India and UP has been created by the BJP government.”

The political analysts’ tone-deaf tweet calling Kangujam, who belongs to the North-eastern part of India, a “foreigner”, highlighted how people from that part of India are subjected to prejudice, bias, and racism by their own countrymen.
Hello Sir,
I'm a proud Indian. I'm not a foreigner. 🙏 https://t.co/KBshDFJzQM— Licypriya Kangujam (@LicypriyaK) June 22, 2022
