Addressing the nation for the seventh time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the lock down may have ended but the virus still exists. He urged the citizens to continue taking all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 ahead of the festive season.
PM Modi in his address mentioned that the government is putting all efforts to ensure that the coronavirus vaccine whenever it is launched reaches every Indian. He further stated that as most of us are stepping out of our homes every day to fulfil our responsibilities, we must not forget that there is no room for complacency till the vaccine is available.
As the approaching festive season is making us happier, we must still think back about the fact that even a small negligence can bring us grief, he said. The PM then highlighted that the nation over the last 7-8 months is in a stable situation, adding that the country’s fatality rate is lower compared to other big nations such as the US and Brazil. But, the fight against COVID-19 should not weaken until a vaccine is available. He also said that in this battle against Corona, the people of India have come a long way from Janta curfew till today.
