Sikkim’s Jetshen Dohna Lama became the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 9 on Sunday. The nine-year-old from Pakyong beat Harsh Sikandar and Dhyaneshwari Gadage to take home the trophy and prize money of Rs 10 lakh.
The other finalists of the singing reality show included Rafa Yeasmin, Atanu Mishra, and Atharva Bakshi.
The show was hosted by comedian-anchor Bharti Singh and had singers Shankar Mahadevan, Neeti Mohan and music composer Anu Malik as the judges.
Jetshen Dohna Lama was just three years old when she took up music. She has been appreciated for her power-packed performances throughout the season.
She was even nicknamed ‘Mini Sunidhi Chauhan’ by judge Shankar Mahadevan.
On her win, Jetshen said in a statement, “This is a dream come true for me! Honestly, the competition was tough as all the contestants of the season are very talented and I really feel grateful that I got to share the stage with them. My journey on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs season 9 has been a great learning experience for me and I am immensely grateful to all my mentors who have constantly supported me and helped me understand my potential as a singer.”
