Protests Against Military Govt in Myanmar Continues 

Protests against the military government in Myanmar continued on Tuesday as people gathered in large numbers in many towns of the country. Myanmar police fired water cannons against protestors in the capital Naypyidaw on Tuesday morning.

Protests are taking place in many other places in the country on the fourth day after the military take over on Feb. 1. Rallies and gatherings of more than five people, along with motorized processions, were banned, in areas of Yangon and Mandalay, reports AP.

In Mandalay, the night time curfew was imposed in seven townships. Restrictions on gathering of people were also imposed in many townships in Yangon region, Sagaing region, Bago township in Bago region and Ayeyarwady region.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Information on Monday, the Myanmar government warned people of legal action for acts that are violating state stability, public safety and rule of law.
