The Taliban changed the sign at the Ministry of Women Affairs’ entrance to the Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice on Saturday (September 18).

The Ministry of Women Affairs, which operated during the previous government after taking control of the capital in mid-August, was not included in the Taliban’s earlier announcement of the caretaker cabinet, according to NHK World.

A verse from the Koran is emblazoned on the new sign at the entrance to the building in central Kabul, in a style reminiscent of the Taliban flag. They have not issued a statement regarding the replacement of the sign.
