On January 27, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, who is also the Minister in Charge of Power, convened a meeting with senior officers of the power department and APEDA to discuss and resolve various issues related to scheme implementation in the state.
Mein stated that the Roing-Chapakhowa 132 KV double circuit interstate transmission line is a large project that, when completed, will improve the state’s power scenario.
The deputy chief minister drew the attention of the Lower Dibang Valley district administration and requested that all stakeholders work together to resolve issues related to the ambitious project as soon as possible in the best interests of the work.
When discussing the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), Mein emphasised the importance of preparing the DPR in accordance with the actual requirements on the ground in order to meet the target of reducing AT&C losses.
The DCM also reviewed the proposals for solar power projects and parks in the state. Mein later discussed the preparation of the Budget Estimate 2022-23, the Comprehensive Scheme, the SAUBHAGYA/DDUGJY, and the IPDS Ph-2.
