Arunachal Pradesh Police’s Special Investigation Cell arrested assistant engineers (AE) Goy Ketan and Golly Ketan in connection with the question paper leakage in the APPSCCE-2017 and other examinations.

The brothers who were arrested are the sons of a former chief engineer. Golly was an AE for the PWD in Anini and belongs to the 2017 batch, while the younger one Goy was an AE for the department of urban development & housing, who belongs to the 2019 AE batch.

Earlier, Yiter Raksap, who is currently posted as AE in the public works department in Liromoba in West Siang district, was arrested by the SIC.

With their arrest the number of people arrested in the paper leak case now stands at 27.

The arrests were made based on the FIR lodged by aspirants and deprived candidates of the APPSCCE-2017.

It is to be mentioned that the question paper leak case came to light after Gyamar Padung, a candidate for the APPSC examination, filed a complaint at the Itanagar police station, alleging that he suspected that the AE (civil) examination paper had been leaked out.
