The Changlang district administration issued a circular on Tuesday, informing that ST, PR and income certificates will be issued on the same day of receipt of application, provided the application is received before 12 noon.

The step has been taken in view of the hardship faced by the villagers who come to the office multiple times just to get one certificate.

The circular further stated that, if the branch officer is absent due to reasons such as field visits, etc, the file would be routed to the link officer.

Also, the challan system has been done away with, although applicants have to deposit the challan amount at the jan suvidha branch, which in turn will deposit the sum in the bank in the government account concerned.

Forms will also be issued free of charge. Any complaint in this regard may be placed before the Changlang ADC directly, the circular stated.
