Arunachal: CM Khandu Urges to Practice Yoga to lead Healthy Life

Arunachal Pradesh Chief minister Pema Khandu urged everyone to practice yoga to lead a healthy life on the occasion of International Yoga Day.

CM Khandu was joined by young students, Buddhist monks, ITBP jawans, BRTF personnels and locals during the Yoga demonstration held at Tawang Monastery.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief minister Chowna Mein led the Yoga demonstration held at Golden Pagoda at Tengapani in Namsai District, which was chosen as one of the 75 iconic places/districts across the country for the celebration of 8th International Yoga Day 2022.

DCM Mein was joined by MoS for Steel & Rural Development, Faggan Singh Kulaste along with Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom and Lekang MLA Jummum Ete Deori.

The day also saw participation from all elected leaders, senior officers, students and the general public across the state.

It is to be mentioned that since 2015, the International Day of Yoga has been celebrated worldwide on 21st June every year. The theme for this year’s Yoga day is “Yoga for Humanity”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion led the main event of the International Day of Yoga in the backdrop of the iconic Mysore Palace on Tuesday.
