Arunachal Pradesh Chief minister Pema Khandu on Sunday paid homage to former Chief Minister Late Shri Dorjee Khandu at Jangchub Chorten on his 12th death anniversary.
Taking to twitter, CM Khandu wrote, “For me, he was more than a father ~ a true guide, friend, philosopher and critic. He taught us values of life from where we draw strength and courage to serve the people of the state.”
Deputy Chief minister Chowna Main paid hearty tribute to the Former late CM and wrote, “Today, I pay my heartfelt tribute to the former Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Late Shri Dorjee Khandu ji, on his death anniversary. He was a visionary leader who played a crucial role in the development of our State.”
It is to be mentioned that Late Dorjee Khandu passed away on 30th April 2011 in a helicopter crash between Kyela and Lobothang near Tawang district.
Before entering politics, he was in the Indian Army Intelligence Core for more than seven years and was conferred a gold medal for meritorious intelligence services during the Bangladesh war.
