Arunachal: CM Pema Khandu releases book ‘Flights of Fantasy’

Arunachal Pradesh Chief minister Pema Khandu released a book titled “Flights of Fantasy: Heroes of 1962 Indo-China War, Abu Tani’s Speaking Tree and Other Articles”. The is authored by retired Group Çaptain Mohonto Panging Pao, Vayu Sena Medal.

It is a collection of 91 selected articles published in various newspapers and magazines of Arunachal Pradesh and the North East. The book covers socio-economic aspects, geo-political aspects of Arunachal and Northeast. The articles also cover aspects associated with fighter flying based on the author’s personal experience.

The book also contains articles about Abu Tani’s Speaking Tree, covering societal growth and grooming.

One section covers the bravery of little known heroes of the 1962 Indo-China war in Arunachal. Another section covers the heroic stories of Arunachali soldiers in service of the nation fighting terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. Another section covers Indo-China relations vis-a-vis the present times of disputes.

This is the second book authored by Group Captain Mohonto Panging Pao. He has already published a book titled ‘Keerook and Other Stories from Northeast India’.
