Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu reviewed the progress of road projects carried out by National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) in the State. The Chief Minister held a meeting with the managing director of the NHIDCL, KK Pathak and other Government and NHIDCL officials at his office in Itanagar.
Progress of various road projects being carried out by the NHIDCL in Arunachal Pradesh was discussed during the meeting. It is to be mentioned that the NHIDCL is at present working on 700 different road projects across Arunachal Pradesh.
Assuring his cooperation for speedy completion of all projects, chief minister Khandu said road connectivity in the border areas is getting new impetus under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Roads are now reaching remote inaccessible areas of Arunachal near the international borders with more new projects coming up,” said Pema Khandu. The meeting also discussed building of wayside amenities along the highways to provide facilities to travelers for safe and convenient journey.
