Arunachal Governor Urges BCCI to Hone Young Talents from State

Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju, along with Jay Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) called on Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Rtd) BD Mishra on Tuesday. The meeting was also attended by Chief minister Pema Khandu, in which the Governor urged the Union minister and NCCI secretary to facilitate special training for the cricketers of Arunachal Pradesh.

Mishra further requested them to provide platforms to the young cricketers of the state to expose their talents so that they can find a place in national level cricket events on their own merit.

Reiterating that the people of Arunachal Pradesh immensely love team games and that Cricket is a cherished sport in the state, the Governor said, “from Children playing it in the streets to the elder having the fun of it at their home, cricket has grown widely on our people in Arunachal Pradesh”.
