Arunachal: IMC launches Mobile app for Hassle Free Service

Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) mayor Tame Phassang launched the smartphone app ‘IMC-101’ on Wednesday with the goal of providing hassle-free service to the public using current technology.

Speaking on the occasion, the mayor said that any person can share their grievances through the app.

He appealed to the public to download the app and avail the services. He said, “People can also file complaints about the garbage lying unattended with a click for immediate action.”

The app is available in android as well as ioS platforms.

The mayor reported that during the IMC’s 10th Business Meeting on Wednesday, the house accepted the ‘bye-laws for solid waste management’ as mandated by the HC, citing the High Court orders on solid waste management plants and the imposition of sanctions against those who litter in public places.

The mayor warned that now that bye-laws have been adopted, IMC would begin issuing fines on anyone who litter public spaces or toss waste on highways.

Regarding traffic congestion and parking lots, the mayor said, ‘Funds for creation of parking lots are available with IMC. The need of the hour is land and its location.’
