A Mega Food park will soon be set up in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. The food park will cater to the processing and marketing needs of local agricultural produce and aim at establishing direct linkage from farm to processing and then to consumer market through a network of collection centers and primary processing centres.
The construction work of the food park is going on in full swing and the work is being carried out by a young dynamic entrepreneur as well as Social Worker from the Papum Pare district Mr Lika Maj. An East News reporter visited the construction site to take stock of the ongoing construction work and met with Mr Lika Maj who has been very dedicated towards establishing the Mega Food park just a few kilometres from the Banderdewa.
Speaking to East News, Maj said that with the establishment of the food park the local entrepreneurs will see economic development in the locality. It will not only provide an opportunity for the state’s youth to grow them but also will allow them to be self-employed.
Maj mentioned that the industries from outside the states have already enlisted themselves to establish their industry. However, Maj expressed his concerns over the delay of financial aid that is supposed to be provided by the state government to finish the project in time, since the project is already delayed by 12 months due to non availability of funds. But, nevertheless Maj is still committed to complete the project anyhow by 2023.
