MLA Ering instructed the construction agencies to strictly maintain the quality as per DPR and complete the project in time and ensure durability.

Later, addressing a public meeting in Mirem, MLA Ering said that the governance reforms undertaken in recent times by Chief Minister Pema Khandu have been unprecedented in economic growth and prosperity of the state, and therefore politics should not be used as a hindrance to development.

He hoped that the recent amicable resolution of boundary issues between East Siang and neighbouring Assam would herald in a new era of development.

Informing that priority would be accorded to education, health, drinking water supply, electricity supply, irrigation, and road connectivity, the MLA said that “most of the projects have high degree of readiness and a few are already under implementation.”

He advised people to prioritise their children’s education and to be on the lookout for drug abuse among school-age children.

The MLA instructed the DC and the local officers to ensure smooth delivery of all people-oriented services. He also stressed on hiking the wages/salaries of Anganwadi workers and vocational teachers, and assured to raise the issue at the appropriate level.
