Arunachal: Mourners Pay Final Tribute as Techi Takar Laid to Rest

Techi Takar, the son of Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso, whose body was discovered beside a railway track in Tigdo area under Papum Pare district on Wednesday, was laid to rest at his residence in presence of his family members and thousands of mourners.

Apart from a few politicians that include former chief minister Nabam Tuki, Doimukh MLA Tana Hali Tara, and Taliha MLA Nyato Dukam, people from all walks of life, including religious leaders, businessmen, social workers, and IMC leaders, attended the funeral ceremony and prayed for his eternal peace.

According to a police report, Takar was hit by a train on Wednesday morning and the body was recovered 200 meters ahead of the railway bridge in Tikdo area of Papum Pare district.

The Doimukh police registered a case of unnatural death and a post mortem was conducted, following which the body was handed over to the family members for last rites.  

A case has been registered at Doimukh police station and an investigation is underway.
