Police arrested two jawans of the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn) deployed at Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh for having links in drug peddling case.

The police have recovered contraband of 67.23 grams of heroin from them.

It is also suspected that a civilian is associated with the two jawans.

Pasighat Police Station took the IRBn jawans, along with the civilian under custody for further action.

The two jawans were placed under immediate suspension and a departmental inquiry has been initiated against them.
