Arunachal’s Popular singer Rerik Karlo Digbak has been awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi’s Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for 2020 for her contribution to folk music and dance in the state.

Rerik has 290 songs in eight Arunachali languages of various genres to her credit. She is also a well-known lyricist and choreographer.

She formally began her career in music after being accepted as an artiste by All India Radio, Itanagar, in 1999, and has since recorded 11 folk songs for AIR and 20 folk songs for Doordarshan Kendra, Itanagar.

Rerik has also sung several patriotic anthem songs for different tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. 

It is to be mentioned that she is an active member of Sanskar Bharati and the Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society.
