A Sarkar Aapke Dwar (government at your doorstep) was organised by the East Siang district administration at Yagrung, covering Runne, Taki-Lalung, Sibut, Tekang and Yagrung villages under Yagrung circle on Tuesday.
More than 800 beneficiaries benefited from the various citizen-centric services provided by the government departments, while the financial literacy and awareness booth was set up by Pasighat branches of SBI and Apex Bank.
MLA Kaling Moyong who inaugurated the camp visited all the stalls set up by the government departments and banks and took stock of the services availed by the general public.
MLA Moyong asked the Lead Bank to take the support of PRI members to create awareness on social security schemes, agriculture loan schemes and in conducting financial literacy in the rural areas for maximum coverage.
The Sarkar Aapke Dwar (Government at your doorstep) programme is an initiative of the state government, which was passed in the 2018-19 budget, directing every deputy commissioner to conduct Jan-sunwais on the first of every month in their respective districts to resolve public grievances on the spot.
The main objective of Sarkar Aapke Dwar is to deliver government services to the citizens. The services provided during the programme are Aadhaar enrollment, e-ILP, Schedule Tribe certificates, Residence certificates, Income certificate, Driving licences, renewal of arms licences, distribution of items under the Ujala scheme, new account opening and other government schemes, etc.
