The Second edition of Sub-junior and junior State Ranking Badminton tournament 2021 kicks-off at MLA Cottage Indoor Badminton stadium today in a befitting manner. 

While welcoming the participants, Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA) Secretary General Bamang Tago informed that 14 affiliated district associations including Sangey Lhaden Sports Academy and Capital Complex Badminton association are taking part in the ensuing ambitious tournament. A total of 201 entries have been made and 213 players are participating. 198 matches to be held for U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15 and U-17 boys & girls respectively

Anirudh Singh IRS,secretary sports and youth affairs govt of Arunachal pradesh graced the event as a chief guest, while lauding the genuine effort of the Association and the enthusiastic participation of  the kids, he assured to provide full support from the sports department.

He said that such tournaments can be termed as the foundation stone of whatever our state may achieve in coming days, in this field.

Meanwhile, while commemorating the event, Arunachal state Badminton association also launched the annual calendar and the event.
