Arunachal Pradesh Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs, Mama Natung visited the under construction site of Dorjee Khandu Badminton Academy (DKBA ) at Chimpu on Friday. The Minister was accompanied by the team of Engineers from Urban Development & Technical Wing of Sports Dept.

While reviewing the site, Natung expressed his satisfaction over its progress, but also gave specific directions to the contractors to execute the works without compromising with quality. The Academy is being developed as a state of art infrastructure and has seating capacity of 1000.  It will also have provision of separate boys & girls Hostels inside the 20,700 meter square campus that is being developed. 

The minister while speaking on the occasion lauded Chief Minister Pema Khandu and expressed his gratitude for donating the vast plot of land in greater interest of Sports Fraternity and the people of state.. Recalling the contribution of former Chief minister, late Dorjee Khandu, he said; “This academy is the best tribute to the great leader”.
