Arunachal: West Kameng Dist Administration Issues Travel Advisory 

Arunachal Pradesh’s West Kameng district administration issued travel advisory for the people as Orang-Kalaktang-Shergaon-Rupa-Tenga (OKSRT) and Balipara-Chariduar-Tawang (BCT) road was hit by heavy rainfall that resulted in heavy landslides and flash floods.

The roads connects East Kameng, West Kameng and Tawang district with the rest of the country.

According to the advisory order issued by Deputy commissioner Karma Leki, there is a great risk to life and property when travelling on the section of the OKSRT and BCT roads due to the ongoing downpour.

The advisory further cautioned the commuters not to travel at night, alerting interstate check gates of Balemu and Bhalukpong.

The DC further ordered security personnel stationed at the Balemu and Bhalukpong interstate checkpoints to permit commuters, including tourists, passage only after verifying the quality of the roads.

It is to be mentioned that the road conditions on the OKSRT road stretch have been completely disrupted at multiple points.
