Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu while attending State BJP’s one-day ‘Training of Trainers’ programme hinted at local rural and urban body elections to be held soon in the State. He also called upon the BJP workers and leaders of the state to adopt a pan-Arunachal attitude and take along each community and region on the path of progress. He further assured that the government would further strengthen the local bodies and will endorse them with powers so far denied.
“BJP’s ideology, ideals and values should reach the grassroots, so must all schemes and programmes of the central and state governments,” Khandu said while addressing the party’s one-day ‘training of trainers’ at Itanagar. He also said that veteran party workers and legislators have the prime responsibilities to spread the words of achievements made by the government since it came to power at the Centre as well as in the state.
Khandu said that Arunachal Pradesh is a unique state and therefore the leaders must adopt a Pan-Arunachal attitude. He asserted that since training & exercise is important for us to be fit and healthy, likewise regular training of party workers is also important for a healthy BJP.
“Training refreshes our focus and rejuvenates our ideologies. It also renews our enthusiasm to achieve goals in line with our ideals and values,” he said. In his speech, Khandu also underscored the significance of discipline, stating that the quality is a must in the successful functioning of any political party or organization.
