Former minister Anok Wangsa quits NPP to join BJP

Former Arunachal Pradesh minister and National People’s Party (NPP) state vice-president, Anok Wangsa, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with several others in the presence of the party’s state unit vice-president Tayek Goi.

BJP’s state general secretary and Namsai MLA Zingnu Namchoom, RWD minister Honchun Ngandam and Longding MLA Tanpho Wangnaw were also present on the occasion.

The newly inducted minister expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking the nation on a path of rapid development and appreciated chief minister Pema Khandu and his deputy Chowna Mein for their efforts and initiatives to develop the state.
