Indian Army Conducts Free Coaching Classes in Arunachal Pradesh

The Spear Corps of the Indian Army under its ‘Operation Sadbhavna’ is conducting a 3-month-long free coaching classes for the students of Class IX-XII in the Miao and Kharsang villages of Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh. During the event, the students will be motivated to draw maximum benefits from the coaching to cover up the lost syllabus.

Defence PRO Lt Col P Khongsai said the aim of this proposal was to ensure that the important academic year of the children from these remote areas is not wasted due to pandemic, mitigate the anxiety of parents and finally prevent drop-outs. The children in rural areas with poor internet connectivity have suffered the most as online classes were often a distant dream.

“Around 70 students have registered themselves for the coaching so far while a total of four teachers have been hired at each location for conducting classes on physics, chemistry and mathematics,” the PRO said.
