The Liromoba administration hosted the fourth phase of Sarkar Aapke Dwar (SAD) on the grounds of the Government Higher Secondary School here on January 11th.

Yomcha ADC Hento Karga formally inaugurated the programme, which was attended by a large number of people who took advantage of the services provided by more than 15 departments.

Sarkar Aapke Dwar The ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ (Government at your doorstep) programme is an initiative of the state government, which was passed in the 2018-19 budget, directing every deputy commissioner to conduct Jan-sunwais on the first of every month in their respective districts to resolve public grievances on the spot.

The main objective of the Jan-Sunwai Sammelan is to deliver government services to the citizens. The services provided during the programme are Aadhaar enrollment, e-ILP, Schedule Tribe certificates, Residence certificates, Income certificate, Driving licences, renewal of arms licences, distribution of items under the Ujala scheme, new account opening and other government schemes, etc.

Many a times, government schemes, including centrally sponsored schemes remain unknown to the beneficiaries, for whom they are intended. It is necessary that every department work out a proper plan to create awareness regarding important schemes and services concerning to all departments.
