Obom Tangu from Upper Siang was adjudged the winner of Arunachal Pradesh’s biggest singing reality show ‘Arunachal Idol Season 5′ in the talent show’s grand finale held at Tawang on Saturday. He won a cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs.
Dhamchin Norbu from Tawang was declared the first runner-up, Temba Dorjee from West Kameng was adjudged the second runner-up.
Teli Menia from Papum Pare and Radhe Yabyang Millo from Lower Subansiri were declared the third and fourth runner-up, respectively.
Chief minister Pema Khandu along with Union Minister Kiren Rijiju witnessed the grand finale. Sports Minister Mama Natung, MP Tapir Gao and Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi were also present.
Taking to social media Chief Minister Pema Khandu congratulated the winners and said, “The grand finale of the Arunachal Idol Season 5 was amazing. It was a show like no other.”
“Thanks to all who made it possible for the Arunachal’s biggest singing reality show to become a huge success and in becoming the number 1 choice for our youths to showcase their talent,” he added.
“My congratulations to all the winners of the Season 5 contest held at Tawang. What we witnessed was pure talent.”
