In a remarkable display of efficiency and swift action, the Itanagar police recently conducted an operation to rescue a man who had been abducted earlier on Monday. Thanks to the diligent efforts of the police force, the victim was successfully recovered, and three suspects have been apprehended.

The incident occurred at approximately 10 am in the bustling Gandhi Market area of Itanagar, the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh. According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed by the authorities, the victim, identified as Reri Boje, works as an assistant engineer (AE) in the rural works department (RWD). He was forcibly abducted by three unidentified individuals who were traveling in a white car.

Upon receiving the report, the Itanagar Police wasted no time and swiftly registered an FIR under sections 365/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Itanagar Police Station. Inspector S Roy was assigned to lead the investigation, ensuring a thorough examination of the case.

Under the leadership of Inspector Yangfo, Inspector Riram, and Sub-Inspector A K Jha, the Itanagar Police initiated a meticulously planned search operation to locate the abducted individual. Their efforts were conducted under the supervision of Officer-in-Charge Pawan Yadav, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer in training.

After thorough and relentless efforts, the victim was discovered near the Richi Jullang area, in close proximity to the Chimpu-Jullang Bridge. The police acted swiftly to secure the victim’s safety and promptly apprehended the suspects responsible for the abduction. The three suspects have been identified as Yarkum Rimo (40), Mako Rimo (23), and Tah Rimo (35).
