Under the aegis of the Arunachal Pradesh College Teachers Association (APCTA), the teaching community of Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) here staged a protest rally in the DNGC premises on Tuesday against Associate Professor Narendra Pramanik’s suspension, and demanded an immediate revocation of the suspension order.

Teachers also called for the secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) and the education commissioner to be fired. In support of Prof Pramanik, faculty members from the government college in Bomdila (West Kameng) staged a protest.

Goli Nyodu, the APCTA’s DNGC unit joint secretary, said, “We have submitted a representation and completed all formalities, seeking revocation of the suspension order against Prof Pramanik.”
