Eight women footballers from Manipur are selected by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) for preparatory international friendly matches ahead of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup that will be held in the year 2022.

They will be selected in the Senior Women’s National Football Team, who will travel to Alanya  in Turkey to play friendly matches against some big teams from February 14 to February 24, 2021.

The name of the players are, L. Ashalata Devi (Captain), W. Linthoingambi Devi (Defender), N.G. Sweety Devi (Defender), Dangmei Grace (Striker/ Forward), M. Linthoingambi Devi (Goalkeeper), H. Daya Devi (Striker/ Forward), S. Ranjana Chanu (Defender) and Th. Kritina Devi (Defender). The assistant coach, L. Chaoba Devi, is also from Manipur.

Twenty players are selected from across the country by the AIFF to take part in the tournament. India will play three matches against Ukraine, Russia and Serbia on February 17, 20 and 23.
