169 students enrolled in OIL's 'Super 30' project crack JEE 2021

All 169 students enrolled in OIL’s ‘Super 30’ Program, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Oil India Limited, passed the JEE Mains 2020-21, with 101 students qualifying for JEE Advance 2020-21 for admission to the IITs and other top universities throughout the nation.

According to a release, the excellent success rate was reached throughout the six OIL super 30 centres in Guwahati, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Nagaon, Itanagar, and Jodhpur, which are fully funded by Oil India Limited India and executed by the Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL).

This year also marks the tenth anniversary of the OIL Super 30 project, which aims to empower the brightest minds from underserved communities.

An interactive session with the students was held with Sushil Chandra Mishra, CMD, OIL, Shri Pankaj Kumar Goswami, Director (Operations), Prasanta Borkakoty, RCE, and other senior officials of OIL to commemorate the occasion and to congratulate the 101 students who qualified for the IITs this year.

During the discussion, S C Mishra congratulated the students on their acceptance to prestigious institutions such as IITs, NIITs, medical schools, and so on.

He also praised CSRL’s role as a project implementation partner for working tirelessly and motivating students to achieve excellence.

The Oil India Super 30 project is one of the company’s CSR initiatives, focusing on providing 11 months of completely free residential coaching in the fields of engineering and medicine to deserving students from underprivileged backgrounds, and assisting them in realising their dream of gaining admission to the country’s top universities.

“A total of 170 students were enrolled in the engineering batch of 2019-20, with 164 students securing admissions in various engineering colleges, resulting in a 96 percent success rate across six centres.”

“64 students have exclusively secured admissions in IITs (A group engineering colleges), 90 students in NITs (B category engineering colleges) and rest 10 students in other state engineering colleges.“Whereas, in the medical batch of 2019-20, a total of 30 students were enrolled out of which 29 students qualified in NEET. Thereafter in the first counselling of NEET, 21 students have secured admission in MBBS colleges & one student got admission in AIIMS Guwahati,” the statement said.
