Assam: Bholanath College in Dhubri celebrates Platinum Jubilee

Bholanath College (BN College) in Dhubri, a famous Lower Assam college founded in 1946, recently celebrated its 75th anniversary and Platinum Jubilee.

On Monday, Assam minister in-charge of Dhubri district, Ranjeet Kumar Dass, presented a bust of the college’s founder and donor, Bholanath Choudhary, as a prelude to the festivities to come.

The institution was founded in response to the growing need for higher education. It was opened on August 16, 1946, thanks to the hard efforts of Jahirul Houqe, the then district magistrate of undivided Goalpara.
