From September 1, 2021, the process of reopening classrooms for final year students in the state is begun. For that aim, the State Education Department is drafting a SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
“The Covid-19 has improved to some level in the state,” Education Minister Ranoj Pegu remarked. From September 1, 2021, we are considering reopening classes X, XII, TDC (Three-Year Degree Course), and final years of other courses.
“We’re working on a standard operating procedure (SOP) that lays out in detail what Covid-appropriate behaviour children and teachers must exhibit. Within two or three days, the Chief Minister will give his approval to the SOP. Following the Chief Minister’s approval, we will publish the SOP.”
“If the pandemic situation improves further, we will reopen all schools and colleges in phases,” Pegu stated when asked about other courses.
