Police in Assam’s Karbi Anglong have detained four people for allegedly carrying weapons and ammunition. A combined team of police officers and Assam Rifles soldiers conducted the arrests and seized the weapons and ammunition.
A.22 rifle, a 9 mm pistol, two.22 pistols, a Chinese grenade, a country-made grenade, and numerous rounds of ammunition, as well as magazines, were found during the raid in Gharialdubi area under Bokajan police station in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district.
Meanwhile, Raju Ghatowar, Krishna Orang, Lokesh Kangari, and Robert have been identified as the four people detained. The authorities have yet to determine if the four people apprehended were members of a terrorist group or arms smugglers.
