Khalsa Centre North East have started providing Oxygen through Oxygen Concentrators to the needy in Guwahati. Internationally acclaimed Khalsa Aid is associated with the initiative by providing 20 machines.
The group started to provide free oxygen concentrators to the patients in the city for a week after observing shortage of medical oxygen for homes
The group planned to procure the concentrators and got in touch with Amarpreet Singh Khalsa, MD, Khalsa Aid India.
The Khalsa Centre North East will provide oxygen in Guwahati first, and if possible will help people in other districts too.
The ‘Free Oxygen Langar’ program was launched on Monday, May 17. The concentrators are given for a period of seven days after accepting a refundable security deposit of Rs 11,000 after the safe return of the machine, which costs almost Rs 90,000.
For the first four days the concentrators are given free of cost, after Rs. 500 is charged per day.
