Under the flagship of Operation Sadbhavana, an Army unit of Red Horns Division carried out a Medical Aid Camp at Ga-dhowaChapori near Mangaldai town district on Saturday. The Army’s target was to provide basic essential medical and health care to the underprivileged population of lower Assam. Darrang District Health Society helped in assisting the medical camp where a team of Army and civil doctors along with nursing staff provided their services. The camp saw around 1,000 local attendees.
A Covid-19 awareness program was also conducted keeping the protocols in mind.
This was the second medical camp which was organized by the Army under Operation Sadbhavna this month; the first was organized at a rural area of Sialmari No 2 village of Darrang district.
Operation Sadbhavana, a social responsibility initiative by the Indian Army, has served the basic requirements of the local populace in sectors like skill development, education, sports and national integration by establishing schools and vocational training centres, conducting various training seminars and tours across the country.
