Assam: More than 100 Cyclists participates in Cyclothon 2.0

On October 1, in Guwahati, more than 100 cyclists participated in the Cyclothon 2.0 – India on the Move, which was organised by the Event Management Association of Assam (EMAA) to commemorate Gandhi Jayanti.

The goal of the event was to get people involved in outdoor activities and to develop a cycling culture among the city’s residents.

The Event & Entertainment Association (EEMA) India launched Cyclothon in 2020, and Cyclothon 2.0 – India on the Move is a multi-city event.

Guwahati, Ajmer, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kanyakumari, Kochi, Kolkata, Kota, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Puducherry, Trivathurum, Udaipur, Vijaywada, Vizag, and Warangal all hosted cycling events on Saturday.

EEMA hopes that by holding this event, it would instil a good attitude in the public and promote the idea of being physically active during these trying times.

The Advocate General of Assam, Debojit Saikia, kicked off the event in Guwahati at 6:30 a.m., in the company of Manash Kr. Sharma, the head of the Event Management Association of Assam, and Raghav Chada, a well-known socialite and entrepreneur.
