A second suspect in connection with the Tingrai Bazaar grenade blast case has been arrested by Assam Police. 

Hiren Gogoi, the recognized accused was caught from his residence at Lakhipather in the Tinsukia district. 

His motorcycle was found to be the same, like the one used by the grenade lobbers in the Tingrai Bazaar grenade blast case.

Hiren Gogoi was also associated with crimes like extortion, reported security agencies. 

A police official stated, “Hiren Gogoi is under our custody, and we have started interrogating him. We have found enough clues in (connection with) the case, and very soon, we will crack the case”. 

Previously on Friday, one person recognized as Dipen Saikia was arrested for having connection with the case from Tamuli Bongaon in Digboi. 

Sanjit Singh (25) and Suraj Talukdar(22) lost their lives during the grenade blast. Both were residents of the Tingrai region. Two others were severely injured as well.
