To pay homage to Lt. Tarun Gogoi. Former national Congress president Rahul Gandhi visits Guwahati by a special flight on Wednesday.
Ripun Bora, Assam PCC president informed “Rahul Gandhi will land at the LGBI Airport here at 9.40 am, and from there would head straight to the Sankardev Kalakshetra (where the mortal remains of the veteran Congress leader has been kept) to pay his last respects to the departed leader”.
“He will stay in the city for about an hour and a half and return by a special flight,” Bora said.
Central party leaders of All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary K.C Venugopal and AICC general secretary and in-charge of Assam, Jitendra Singh will also visit Guwahati to pay homage to the departed leader, informed Ripun Bora.
