Assam: SEBA’s notification on Assamese language in temporary suspension

A notification on compulsory learning of the Assamese language in schools was issued by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) which has been kept in state of temporary suspension.

On April 18, the SEBA secretary stated in a fresh notification that the previous order issued on April 12, 2021 regarding the implementation of Assamese Language Leaning Act 2020 has been kept in temporary disuse.

The new notification states, “The notification no. SEBA/AB/AG/26/2020/9 dated, 12th April, 2021 issued from this office regarding implementation of Assamese Language Learning Act 2020, has been kept in abeyance, until further order.”
