Assam : SOP for reopening schools by Dibrugarh district administration

A standard operating procedure (SOP) was issued for reopening of schools from Classes VI to XII amid COVID-19 by the Dibrugarh district administration on Sunday.

According to the academic calendar online classes will be conducted for students of pre-primary and primary standards, as per the SOP.

Till May 8, government/provincialised/private schools will remain closed for both pre-primary and primary standards.

In the generic preventive measures the public health interventions are included to reduce the risk of COVID-19 which are be adhered by all teachers, staff and students.

A task force has been formed by the Dibrugarh district administration under each revenue circle in the district under the Deputy Commissioner cum Chairperson of District Disaster Management Authority under the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

The formed task force will include officers from the District Administration, Police Department and the Municipality Board/Town Committees of the district who will keep a check if the COVID-19 guidelines are being followed in public places.
