According to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Assam government would adopt the New Education Policy (NEP) from April 1, 2022.

This procedure, according to Sarma, will be finished by the end of March next year.

“Beginning April 1, 2022, the state government will implement the New Education Policy (NEP).” All high schools would be upgraded to senior secondary schools under the NEP,” chief minister Sarma said to media in Guwahati on Friday.

He stated that the government will modernise educational institutions’ academic infrastructure for this aim within a year.
