The ever worsening COVID-19 situation across India, including Assam, has caught both the government and the common people unawares.

At the same time, there are many who are trying to help the needy in as many ways as possible. Now, Zubeen Garg, Assam’s heartthrob, one of the most favourite singer and actor has proposed to the Assam government to convert his two storey house in Kahilipara, Guwahati into a COVID Care Centre.

Garg’s house, if used could help handle the rising demand for beds for COVID-19 treatment.

Garima Saikia, Zubeen Garg’s wife stated that, ‘On behalf of Brindaban Supermart we would like to inform that the Assam Government is invited to use our two storeyed house in Kahilipara as COVID Care Centre. Moreover, 2 trucks belonging to the Brindaban Theatre will be ever ready for COVID purposes.’
