Three high-profile gamblers were arrested on Monday by Guwahati police’s crime branch for their alleged involvement in an IPL betting ring. The three suspects were apprehended after the crime branch, led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Numal Mahato, launched an investigation after receiving a tip-off from a few sources.
Dipesh Bajoria, Raunak Bajoria, and Rajesh Jain are the names of the gamblers who were apprehended by the crime branch. According to the police, they have yet to bust any other betting ring.
In addition, the Assam police crime branch busted several gambling dens in the Fancy Bazar area of Guwahati after conducting raids in various locations.
